The market is the whole of all opportunities, at which the offerers can confront their own achievements with possible Nachfragern. Producers can divide their according to product range according to its own (for example technical) needs or also their technical characteristics into product groups. These product groups are called partial markets.

The term may not be confounded with the term market segment:

  • With respect to the market segments the potential buyers are differentiated according to their characteristics.
  • In the partial markets the products are seized into distinguishable groups.
