The pay regulation B (BesO B) contains the salary brackets B 1 to B 11 of the top officials in Germany. Paying and its groups depend on the federal pay law (BBesG).

The salary brackets (with examples) under B are divided as follows:

• as directors/conductors of a large and important group with a regional finance office, if he is for its and at least a further group a representative of the financial president
• as directors/conductors of the group of forest inspection with a regional finance office

• Director of department at the Federal Social Insurance Institution for employees
• as directors/conductors of a particularly large and particularly important department
