The pay regulation W applies to university teachers (professors, scientific assistants and university lecturers) and covers the salary brackets W 1 to W3. It replaces the pay regulation C (change by the professor paying reform law).

The basic salaries are firm, i.e. they do not rise with higher age as with the BesO C.

To the basic salaries of the salary brackets W 2 and 3 achievement purchases are added, those

• from cause of Berufungs-und lodging negotiations,
• for special achievements in research, teachings, further training, art and promotion of young people or
• for the assumption of functions in the academic autonomy (e.g. Dekan, pro rector etc.)

to be assigned can. The Leistungszulagen are not undisputed however also among the university teachers. It is in particular still missing at concepts, as e.g. particularly good achievements are determined e.g. in the teachings. The remuneration of good achievements in the research is limited to a large extent to the reward of particularly high third central A ADVERTISEMENt.

W1 is reserved the junior professors. Here there are no achievement purchases, however the payment is increased after positive intermediate evaluation.

Those in the following indicated basic salary sets are of the conditions 2005.

Salary bracket W 1

• Junior professor

Basic salary: 3.405, 34 euro, not rest-contentable extra pay after positive evaluation: 260 euro

Besides junior professors during its attitude a special extra charge up to 10 per cent of the basic salary can be granted.

• Vice-president,
• Rector,
• Pro rector,
• Konrektor,
• Chancellor,

The latter six only, if not by federation or federal state law classified under the pay regulations A or B.
