Paying in Germany the office purchases (payment) of the soldiers, judges and officials are called. Paying is at present still regulated for all specified above uniformly by the federal pay law. The countries can create national pay regulations for additional offices, so e.g. in Baden-Wuerttemberg the strassenmeister or the saddle masters of the main and national stud.
Further components of paying (special allowance, so-called Christmas benefit) are differently furnished on speciallegal basis (special payment laws of the federation and the countries) regionally. Here as well as with the holiday pay waived in the meantime in the past years substantial shortening took place. Further cuts are at present (spring 2006) planned.
After a definition from the 1950er years officials keep only to 93% of the gross purchases proven as such. The remaining 7% serve the state as saving for future pension payments (pension rear).
