The Peplos is well-known as a clothing for the Greek women in the antique one. It is however already admits in different other countries for the Eisenzeit. It consists of a long heavy material in contrast to the easy Chiton, which is several times in the waist. This large rectangular material is roar-like sewn or woven. To the shoulders it is fastened with in each case a booklet. Frequently we find the Peplos except black and rotfigurigen vase painting with statutory plastics since the Archaik as with the type of the Kore (sculpture) just like with architecture plastics as on Metopen.
