Pilsner Urquell (Czech: prazdroj) is since 1842 a beer produced in Pilsen. It is considered as the first beer manufactured after Pilsner kind of brewing.

Pilsner Urquell is the chief brand of the Pilsner Urquell AG meaning in particular for the export trade. Further particularly marks of the group well-known in the Czech homeland market are Gambrinus, wheel guest and Kozel. 2002 amounted to the total output of the Pilsner Urquell AG about 9 million Hektoliter.

Since 1999 it belongs to the brewery company SAB Miller.

According to label the beer is pasteurisiert.
