Stinima is an abbreviation for pin rivet machine. This, particularly for the building of harmonicas developed procedure for machine riveting of being correct plates, became in the 30's in Klingenthal/Sa. for the there music industry invented. To end of war this technology was not used due to problems of acceptance however wide. Only after that 2. World war was rediscovered the procedure in the course by rationalization measures and converted on large presses. In this time nearly each harmonica was riveted as cheap variant with the Stinima procedure.
The Stinima procedure uses the self-material of the being correct plate, which is squeezed out by a pin from downside half from the being correct disk material and riveted afterwards with the clay/tone tongue when riveting the clay/tone tongue. The advantage of this procedure is the high production speed. Quality losses arise with it however with the air gap around the clay/tone tongue, to which with this procedure must be kept somewhat larger.
