Under the name Polskie radio (German: Polish sound broadcasting) one understands the "“Polskie radio SA"”, which sends country-wide and international radio programs, as well as 17 regional AGs local operates.

Programs

Polskie radio radiates today the following five programs:

History

The first radio ending 1925

The first radio ending became in Poland on 1 February 1925 of Polskie Towarzystwo Radiotechniczne (German: Polish radio-technical society) on the wavelength 385 m from Warsaw sent. It was a sample transmission and a technical experiment at the same time. On 18 August 1925 the Polskie became radio z Ograniczona Odpowiedzialnoscia (German: Polish broadcast GmbH) of Zygmunt Chamiec and Tadeusz Sulowski based. The Polish broadcast GmbH had an exclusive broadcasting right in Poland.

"“Halo, halo Polskie radio Warszawa, putrefies to 480"” (hello, hello is the Polish broadcast Warsaw, wavelength 480 here) was the first words, with which Polskie radio began its regular transmit mode on 18 April 1926.

1926-1939

In the following years further transmitters of the Polish broadcast in the cities started: Krakau, Katowice, Wilno, Torun, Baranowicze. The society "“Polskie radio"” also took over radio Poznanskie"” (broadcast Poznan) at this time "“- the Subkonzessionisten from the 1925.

1929 received "“Polskie radio"” the second, modified transmission concession for 20 years, in which the new building of a transmitter was e.g. recommended, which would be to be heard Poland far. This recommendation was already in May 1931. In May 1931 one builds a high transmitter for new, 120 KW of strong (at that time a high achievement) and 200 meters in Lazy with Raszyn, at that time the highest transmitting pole in Europe. One would send 1111 meters on the wavelength.

To the 1930er years took up one to Poland the production of own radio receivers. Radio was at that time very popular and modern and attracted accordingly large writers, musicians, conductors, actors and other artists magically. Personalities such as January Parandowski, Zenon Kosidowski, Jerzy Szaniawski, Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz, Maria Dabrowska, Maria Kuncewiczowa, Grzegorz Fitelberg, Zdzislaw Stefan Jaracz, Alexander Zelwerowicz and many different were to be heard in the radio.

September 1939 until November 1944

In the first September days 1939 the transmitter in Raszyn was destroyed, as spare transmitter took up on 7 September 1939 Warszawa II the transmit mode. The transmitter "“Warszawa II"” would send air raid warnings, world messages and responding Warsaw city president Stefan Starzynski to the population.

On 30 September 1939 took over the German Besatzer the transmitter and the city and arranged the Konfiszierung of the radio receivers. Poland were allowed under menace of the death penalty no radio to hear.

The Polish broadcast took up again in the summer 1944 to Lublin the work.

After 20 November 1944

On 20 November 1944 Polskie radio was converted into a national enterprise. The first postwar years were dedicated to the reconstruction of the infrastructure. 1948 became Polskie radio in Centralny Urzad Radiofonii (German: Central office for broadcast), later in Komitet DS. Radiofonii (German: Broadcast committee) renamed.

On 3 October 1949 the second country-wide radio program was started.

In September 1957 the experimental Studio of the electronic clay/tone processing as one of the first mechanisms of this kind (world-wide), which worked for the radio, TV, film and composer, developed.

At the 1. March 1958 started that 3. Program.

In July 1961 one would send for the first time in Stereo.

In the year 1974 a 646 meter of high and 2000 KW strong transmitting pole in was established, at that time to the world largest transmitting pole. Owing to this transmitting pole enormously the range increased - and could hear "“Polskie radio"” in completely Europe, in North Africa and nearly everywhere in Russia. To the 1970er years returned one to the transmission form Live-Sendung. Started the "“Lato z Radiem"” (summer with the radio), at that time, (starting from 1971), "“Sygnaly Dnia"” (of daily signals) (starting from 1973) and "“Cztery Pory Roku"” (four seasons) also today still in similar form are sent.

On 2 January 1976 that started 4. Program.

On 29 December 1992 and reorganized one denationalized and television, from the national Radiotelewizja Polska (RTVP) developed for 19 new enterprises: TV Polska S.A., Polskie radio S.A. and 17 regional societies.
