Primary energy one calls the energy, which is available with the naturally occurring forms of energy or sources of energy. In contrast to it one speaks of secondary sources of energy, if these result only from (with losses afflicted) a process of transformation from the primary energy. One designates the energy quantity usable after possibly further transformation or transducer losses of the consumer finally than final energy.
