Pro-cyclic economic policy designates the opposite of anticyclical economic policy. It is not tried to adjust the economic situation excursions but the opposite. The national policy aims off to intensify it.

Reasons for it:

• Because of the expectation attitude of humans an anticyclical economic policy is nowadays usually ineffectively (they place their expenditures on it in) and therefore inappropriate.
• In the economic situation valley dying easily which are ailing enterprises is promoted by additional saving. The healthy enterprises remains thereby for more air. In the upswing however creating new enterprises is facilitated.

In the economic teachings the advantages specified before are doubted however predominantly. The dominant currents polarize themselves on the keynesianischen demand politics, those however in particular are fundamentally anticyclically put on and the offer-oriented economic policy, which politico-economic acting independent of economic cycles recommends.
