Differentiation

A product differentiation is present, if an existing line is extended, e.g. Admission of the jeep Porsche Cayenne into the product LINE of Porsche.

Variation

A product variation is present, if a product present on the market is changed in such a way, which appears it to the Nachfrager as more or less new product.

The following characteristics can be changed:

• physical characteristics (e.g. different material)
• aesthetic characteristics (e.g. different surface, color)
• symbolic characteristics
• Zusatzleistungen
