A project request is that administratively first step (and the condition) to the grant of project funds and/or resources for a cost-intensive, lining up setting of tasks. This can be a complex study, an economic planning project or a development and/or a research project.

The project request can be provided with clear linear path within the administration immediately as written or Internet document. With unclear or complicated linear paths - without with the absence of relevant experiences - the formulation request must precede however a process within an organization, during which the interested (usually subordinate) place contacts a place in this connection decision-authorized, over in further consequence around the mechanism of a project for the solution of a lining up setting of tasks asks. (usually the highest: Management, executive committee, authority line etc.)

Usually projects cannot be financed from the regular budget and/or a long-term budget framework of the responsible cost centre (and/or a comparable organizational unit), because

• setting of tasks developed only at short notice,
• the financial framework of the current enterprise exceeds
• and usually also the change of some in-house organization forms requires (beside money also devices, area, contacts and/or coworker).

The budget (and/or necessary resources) must be granted therefore by higher place additionally. The organizational unit or person, which wishes to furnish the project, must normally walk on some usual linear paths.

Formal basis of a grant of the project or project is the project request. It has to indicate a cost framework, within whose the organizational unit request-placing considers an execution feasible apart from a first description of the aims of the project which can be reached (and/or recently also the "“Nichtziele"”). In fact the project request is however often - if the enterprise visible actual a formal affair, because usually already one decides over the initiation of projects in the apron by informal negotiations between organizational unit request-placing and granting at least in the fundamentals.
