The Public Broadcasting service (PBS) is a public television network in the USA. PBS was created 1969 as a successor national of the Education Television (NET). Today there are nearly 350 PBS Lokalsender, which order compared with commercial offerers usually over a larger free space during the program organization. Among other things "“Barney & Friends"” are shown, "“Dragon of valley"”, "“Caillou"”, "“BBC World news"”, "“Charlie rose"” and "“Economics U$A"”. The documentary film series of P.O.V. (POINT OF View) is particularly popular.

The counterpart to the PBS within the radio range is national that Public radio (NPR).
