Personnel managements (also personnel management, personnel management or English human resource management, Abk.: HRM) designates the range of the marketing and management, which for regular handling the factor of production work strives. Modern enterprises refer the interaction as well as those action and emotion beside the standardisations and the organization of business processes also, since a realistic proceeding must follow the iceberg model.

Modern personnel management aims - under installation course of aspects of the social and environmental compatibility - at lasting success off. In addition the realizations, methods and instruments of the quality management (TQM, EFQM) and the Corporate Governance are used. Lasting success means preservation of value and - increase in the long term. But both the needs of the Shareholder and Stakeholder must be considered. In order to reach company targets, it requires goal-oriented measures and resource planning in the area of staff and a suitable Unternehmenskultur.

The concrete arrangement of the individual ranges in the individual enterprise is called also personnel policy. In the context of the managerial policy the behavior and the way of acting are thus determined to the reaching of the operational (goals).
