The Querulant (of Latin querulus - "„gladly complaining "“) designates humans, who feel easily set into injustice, from slight or alleged cause the complaint rises or with authorities or institutions weighted. Rigid-intimately and uncontrollable by determining instruction he tries to achieve its alleged or actual right. Its behavior stands in no appropriate relation to the situation. An appropriate description for a Querulanten is: It is by occupation against it because even swinging does not satisfy it on the opinion expressed by the Querulanten. The Querulantenwahn is mental suffering, which can lead to the restriction of the criminally liableness in the criminal sense.

Particularly persons, who place constantly obviously unfounded requests at authorities or before court, are called Querulanten. With the reason, which courts excessively loaded, it is permissible to follow to such requests not at all. These requests contain above all complaints over Bagatelldelikte.

The administrative court Kassel created 1967 a definition of the term Querulant, in which it is expressly said that a Querulant can be partially process unable and that this can be determined exeptionally without presence of a psychiatrist by the court.

This law practice to be so understandable may be nevertheless also abused, can it. Thus it is made more difficult to transverse philosophers and Dissidenten or made impossible to implement their right before court. With an alleged Querulantentum as reason Dissidenten were made mouth dead e.g. in the states of the former Eastern Bloc.

Psychopathologisch suffer Querulanten frequently from a paranoiden or other personality disturbance.

Acquaintance of the Querulanten turn away after some time mostly from this, if they become his constant Litanei and Pedanterie. Also the Querulant does not know possibly soon no more, on which its interest originally arranged itself. The Querulant is desperate humans, he has already many battles lost, nevertheless continues to fight it, even if it costs it its existence or his call.
