The Radeberger export beer brewery was created in the year 1872 in Radeberg with Dresden. The brewery is after own stating first in Germany, the beer exclusively after Pilsner kind of brewing brewed. The brewery produces today only one mark, the Radeberger Pilsner.
2001 reached it a yearly output of 1.966.000 hl beer. In the year 2004 an output was reached of 1.871.000 hl.
It belongs to the Radeberger group (a subsidiary of the Oetker group), designated after it.
Radeberger is brewed after the German purity requirement. It was considered as one of the best beers of the GDR and primarily to the export was manufactured.
In the year 1872 the brewery was created as share brewery to the mountain cellar.
On 11 December 1905 the brewery became a yard supplier of the Saxonian king. Thus the export beer brewery could call "board beverage of its majesty of the king Friedrich August III. of Saxonia" its beer.

In the television and print advertisement for Radeberger Pilsner the Dresdens Semperoper as motive for background one uses. This led to the fact that sometimes the building is falsely regarded as the brewery building.
