Reinier De Graaf (* 30. July 1641 in Schoonhoven, Netherlands, "† 17. August 1673 in Delft, Netherlands) be a Netherlands physician and researcher.

To its study to the medicine in Utrecht and suffering Graaf went to France, in order to accomplish anatomical studies at the pancreas. Back in the Netherlands Graaf established itself 1667 in Delft. It recommended few months before its death as a member of the Royal Society in London the attention of Antonie van Leeuwenhoek and its exzellenten microscopes.

Graaf is the discoverer of the Ovarialfollikel in the ovary, whereby the Tertiary period follicle is designated after him as Graaf follicles also today still. From the observation of a ektopen pregnancy it concluded that inside a follicle a Eizelle had to be present, although he never saw such. It described the function of the Eileiters and referred to the meaning of a Hydrosalpinx for the of the woman. It described the female Ejakulation as the first and referred to a particularly sensitive zone in the front sheath wall, which it brought with the Prostata of the man in connection, and which were rediscovered later of the German Ernst on its search for the vaginalen desire center of the woman than G-point.

As a catholic in the by the majority Protestant Netherlands a university career was refused it. After the early death of a son it probably separated by Suizid from the life.
