Remote and Lamaze (* 1891 in France; " 1957) were a French physician and birth aid, who developed Pierre Vellay relaxation exercises for a natural, pain-poor birth together with the physician.
The background were the progress with the use of Analgesia with the birth. In the year 1914 in Freiburg in mash gau a combination of scopolamine and morphine had been developed, the pain and also the memory ability to the birth suppressed. The mothers woke up and found their child in the crib.

To the modern form belong also the use of warm and cold envelopes, position changes and the use of a seat ball for a more natural, upright position.
