Requirements are the definition of demanded characteristics, are it those of a product, or also those of humans, in particular a potential coworker.

Requirements of products

Requirements of products are described by a work statement. This is to describe all desired characteristics of a product, is direct it or by reference to an appropriate standard. A work statement does not describe the kind of the conversion, this is task of product requirement specifications.

A requirement can e.g. be surface finish, firmness, Formtoleranz here, while the kind of the conversion would concern the production process, like tricks, pouring, Hohnen, chisels, Drechseln, cuts.

For a program product the requirement can define an algorithm, while the conversion in product requirement specifications describes the implementation. Further requirements at software can be control functionalities in the context of an Windowing environment or Portierbarkeit or data outputs in certain file formats.

The requirement management, also requirement management dedicates itself to the purposeful definition of requirements of products. It extends however both to resting and to product requirement specifications, since an appropriate correspondence between these should be always ensured.

Requirements of potential coworkers

Requirements of potential coworkers are usually expressed by a requirement profile. Here distinctive according to the kind of the requirement and according to their importance.

Kinds of the requirement are

• Formal qualification such as training conclusion, title, documented away and further training
• Informale qualification such as professional experience, experience in certain technical areas or within certain ranges of the working sphere
• personal qualifications such as availability, maximum stress, local bindingness ("“softly skills"”)

Importance usually distinctive after

• Having qualification (have also must), without such a qualification would be applicable a co-operation not
