Dr. Sahachiro Hata (jap. Hata Sahachiro; * 23. March 1873 in Tsumo, Japan; " 22 November 1938) was a Japanese scientist and bacteriologist.
Hata researched as an assistant at the side of Paul Ehrlich at Institut for experimental therapy in Frankfurt/Main. Admits became Hata by its contribution to the development of the Salvarsans, of the first medicine against the Syphilis. He was nominated several times for the Nobelpreis for medicine, however never received him.
The society of the chemotherapy of Japan assigns the Kiyoshi Shiga and Sahachiro Hata price for research in this area to each year.
