The Salomon SA is a French sports article manufacturer in particular for winter sports, which belongs to the enterprise Amer of sport.

History

Salomon was created 1947 as exempt private company of George Salomon in the southeastFrench city Annecy and manufactured at the beginning of edges for ski. 1972 sold Salomon world-wide over one million connections and stood thereby at the world point. Since 1984 the enterprise engages itself also for kinds of summer haven, among other things by the purchase of the gulf mark TaylorMade and the production of moving shoes (since 1992). Only 1990 presented the first own ski to Salomon. After existence bought up Adidas AG 1997 the enterprise and designates themselves in Adidas Salomon AG over. Due to being missing successes within the winter sports range Salomon at the end of of 2005 was sold at Amer of sport.

Today by Salomon also the kinds of sport Snowboarden, Surfen (Windsurfen, wave riding) are served, of Nordic Walking and Inline Skating.
