Sarariman (jap. is a Japanese term for male office workers in renowned companies. It is a Scheinanglizismus (salary one, compound up out "salary ", "content ", and "one ", "man ").
In former times it was the goal of upper pupils and students of becoming Sarariman in a renowned enterprise. This changed with the gradual dissolution of the lifelong occupation.
The female counterpart to the Sarariman is the Office lady (office lady), a female employee, who has usually less power than their male colleagues. This changes however increasingly: Women, whom the same occupation as a Sarariman exercises, are called more career woman karia uman).
Pachinko, Karaoke and gulf are called jokeful also "the three arts "of the typical Sarariman.
