Second lieutenant to sea designates a soldier in the first officer rank in Germany with the German Federal Armed Forces within the German navy. In the other armed services this rank is called second lieutenant.

Soldiers in this rank can give crews, NCOs without Portepee and NCOs with Portepee of instructions within the borders set by the superior regulation (VorgV).
