The Siemens multistoried building in the residents of Munich Hofmann route is a well-known resident of Munich building and landmark of the Siemens location in Obersendling. The building was built in the years 1961 to 1963 after the plans of the architect Hans bricklayer. With 23 floors and a height of 75 m it was with completion the highest of the city.
In the context of the project Isar south it should be supplemented around two further multistoried buildings to an ensemble. These plans were criticized by multistoried building opponents on the sharpest and finally blocked in November 2004 with a citizen desiring. After the failure of Isar south gave it rumors to alleged planning of Siemens, which planned an outline of the building. Instead of to tear off Siemens sold the building at the beginning of of 2006 however to the Hubert head entrepreneurial group. The further use by the new owner is at present still unclear.
