Siemens the S45 is a GSM Mobiltelefon, intended by Siemens originally for the Business user and was available starting from July 2001 on the market. The S45 cost upper class mobile phone of the German enterprise Siemens AG during the introduction on the market 279 euro and was considered as a successor of the S35 as.
The S45 offered quite extensive equipment, then the user over GRPS in the Internet can surfen, visit WAP sides or synchronize the integrated personnel manager with MS Outlook. Also 500 storage locations for the directory, the language choice, support for EMS and the SMS Eingabehilfe T9 are features, which could not offer each mobile phone at that time. As special Gimmick the S45 offers the possibility of composing and of entering over the keyboard (quite pedantic) bell tones themselves. Finished bell tones (Midi files) can be transferred and used over the Siemens PC software. Also it has approx. 348 KB large, internal memory (Flex one. MEMORY), which can be used dynamically for archived SMS, bell tones, the directory or also small pictures.
The S45 was also mentioned as outdoor version available, ME45. The ME45 possessed the same function range as the S45, was however in a something robusteren housings also easily changed key arrangement inserted.
