Siemens is the unit of the electrical conductance in SI. It is designated after Werner von Siemens.

The outdated designation Mho recognizing (unit symbol \ mho) (ohms backwards) for Siemens in the angloamerikanischen linguistic area often within the field of electronics used, there itself the Axis powers at that time because of the war participation of the company Siemens refused the unit Siemens.
