SIG getting thing AG (Swiss industrial company) is an enterprise resident in the Swiss Neuhausen at the case of Rhine.

Rail-mounted vehicles

In the year 1853 the SIG was created as railroad car building contractor. The rail-mounted vehicle section was finally sold 1995 at Fiats and 2000 at Alstom (today only component manufacturing). The slope technology of the SBB RABDe 500 is a SIG development.

Weapons

Starting from 1860 the SIG manufactured also weapons. Admittingness attained the SIG particularly by the production of the pistols SIG P210 and SIG P220, as well as the storm rifle 57 and storm rifle 90 Swiss army. This division was sold in the year 2000 to the new company Swiss of arm. Until 2000 the SIG was also owner of the German weapon manufacturer J.P. sour & son GmbH.

Packing method

1906 began the manufacturing of packaging installations. 2004 took over Bosch Packaging Technology the divisions Pharma, sweet goods as well as food.

Cardboard packing is manufactured at the German subsidiary company Combibloc.

Automation

Between 1988 and 2000 the SIG was owner of the German enterprise Berger Lahr, which develops systems for positioning and automating. During this time the products of this division under the designation SIG were marketed positec. 2000 were resold this range at cutter Electric.
