The small meadow head (Sanguisorba minor) is a plant from the family of the rose plants (Rosaceae). It is well-known also under the name Blutstillerin, blood droplet, Braunelle, kite blood, wrong Bibernelle, gentleman God s-word, , , red Bibernelle, Sperberkraut, Wiesenbibernelle, worm herb, cup flower, small Bibernelle, small meadow button, Wel Bibernelle, Gartenbibernelle, small blood herb, Megenkraut, nail herb, Pimpinelle or Pimpernelle. The last two designations are likewise used for the large Bibernelle (Pimpinella major) from the family of the (Apiaceae) and to be able therefore easily to mistakes to lead.

Description

The small meadow head is a krautige plant. It forms Rosetten with gestielten, pinnated sheets, which taste nut-like. As bloom conditions it forms round, reddish which appear from May to June. The kind is inclined strongly to the self sowing.

Preparation

The small meadow head is used since 2006 under the designation "“Pimpernelle"” in the Wellness "“balance"” of the Austrian mineral water manufacturer in connection with the wine garden peach - which led due to (almost to Interpretationsorgien einladenen) the name to the general Erheiterung of the consumers.
