These are soldiers those only the NCO career hit and then, due to their suitability, into the officer career to ascend, however the academic conditions of the officer career not to bring along. The staff captain carries four silver stars on its shoulder badges for the indication of its rank. Officers of the troop service instead after completing the staff officer training course (SOL) to major promotes, as soon as an appropriate permanent post is free. Therefore they jump over this rank. Exeptionally officers of the troop service will promote to staff main people, if no places are free as a major.

The staff captain is paid after the salary bracket A 13. Next-lowest rank is a captain and more serve-struggle-highly is a major.
