Star soot rope (Diplocarpon rosae), also black mark illness mentioned, is one the most frequent mushroom cranenesses of the rose, which in addition, other plants strikes, e.g. laurel.

The sheets show first round black-brown marks, which spread often star shaped. The stricken sheets vergilben and drop finally. Thereby the assimilation is limited, which means an attenuation of the plant. In order to prevent an illness, it is important to increase by an appropriate nutrient supply the strength of the plant. Since the infestation is to be fought only with difficulty, it is advisable that the plants are already squirted starting from May preventing. When pouring it must be paid attention to the fact that only to the root one pours, in order to offer to the mushroom no damp climate on the sheets.

Is if the plant gets sick, it must be treated with a suitable Spritzmittel. Ill sheets and impulses are to be removed and be disposed over the garbage can, in order to prevent a propagation of the infection.

Apart from the use of also hosing down the roses with box stem dte is recommended.
