The state security service document law in such a way specified (official: Law over the documents of the public security service of the former German ones Democratic Republic) was passed on 20 December 1991 by the Bundestag and regulates the use of the documents of the secret service of the former GDR, which were guaranteed on initiative of the citizen movement within the peaceful revolution of 1989 and administered and processed then by the assigned one of the Federal Government for the documents of the public security service of the former GDR (BStU).
