Association was officially created on 15 November 2001 with its entry in the register of associations under the number 1959. The idea for the creation of such an organ is based mainly on the fact that on the part of several enterprises of the region Chemnitz was noticed that it would come in foreseeable time to a lack of specialist. Reasons for this were seen particularly in the lack of perspectives and the associated drift from the region.

Over against this trend to work on initiative Siemens of the location Chemnitz was finally created and with the help of some engaged students the idea and the students initiative Siemens Saxonia registered association.

The basis of the SISS registered association.

three large columns, which represent the goals of the association, stand for the roof of the SISS registered association. The first column is the structure of knowledge, which takes place via a seminar offer heterogeneously put on from members for members. The second column represents the nowadays essential personality formation. By common activities, like for example exits or together arranged evenings, the team spirit is to be learned and/or deepened to be waked and new abilities. The third column represents the factor fun. Naturally does not come this member structure consisting with one purely of students too briefly. With meetings outside of the university or work everyday life friendships are closed and new contacts are attached. These contacts are essential for the study as well as for the later vocational life and facilitate the accomplishment of the everyday life.

The number of members of the association is subject to strong fluctuations, under new acquisitions and outlets of the association. Member can become everyone, which is registered at a Saxonian university and still at least one year has study duration up to its conclusion before itself.

Expiration of the application procedure

• Fill out the application documents, available on the web page of the association.
• The executive committee of the SISS registered association sights the material and decides on a becoming acquainted with discussion.
• At positive decision on the part of the executive committee the discussion takes place. With this discussion all details to the person and possible questions are clarified. In addition the applicant gets a deeper view of the work and function mode of the association.
• If the discussion positively ran and both sides of the admission agree, the applicant is official member of the SISS registered association.

The first six months of the membership are Probezeit. In this time the executive committee of the association makes itself a picture of the function of the person concerned. At expiration of this time it decides whether a full membership is applicable. The withdrawal from the SISS registered association can take place at any time voluntarily. Inevitably the membership is terminated after conclusion of the training at the university and/or professional school. An end of the membership can take place also inevitable via the executive committee. This happens with obvious Lustlosigkeit and constant absence with meetings of the association.

At present 21 students (conditions February 2006) of the technical University of Chemnitz and the westSaxonian university Zwickau in the students initiative Siemens Saxonia registered association (FH) engage themselves. The majority of the members accompanies a technical course of studies. The relationship of "„technicians "“too "„Wirtschaftlern "“amounts to approx. 2:1. A goal is a number of members between 20 and 25 students.

After separating from the association one receives the affiliation automatically with the SISS Alumni. This measure is to lead to the fact that the members are faster loosened in such a way from the experience wealth of the former ones to profit to be able and problems. In addition regular meetings between the Alumni are angedacht, so that the contact remains among themselves.

the executive committee, consisting of five members, stands for the point of the association that are selected in the context of a meeting of the members for one year. However the members of the board remain so long in the office, until a successor for the position was found. The executive committee consists of a chairman of the board, its deputy, at the same time treasurer, and three further members of the board. The chairman of the board is selected from the executive committee by the meeting of the members for 1 year. To the members students of the universities and/or professional schools belong in Saxonia. The planned member structure plans a third economic courses of studies and two thirds technical courses of studies. A further point are the Alumni of the association, whose number does not have restrictions and to each student, who went through the association, is taken up.
