History

Sulo was created 1892 by the fitter master F. Streuber. The enterprise manufactured tubs, watering cans and stable mechanisms. Starting from 1929 steel packings were added, starting from 1960 plastic containers for wastes.

1963 took over Sulo the enterprise Jakob old father and developed services within the range of disposal logistics additionally to its production business.

1994 created Sulo subsidiary company in Poland, Tschechien and the Ukraine, 1998 took up it business to Singapore.

On 13 October 2005 Sulo took over the Cleanaway Germany AG & CO. Kg of the Australian service company Brambles. The purchase stood first under the reservation of permission by the Federal Cartel Office and the responsible European On 10 April 2006 the assumption of the Federal Cartel Office with editions was approved. So Sulo in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hessen and Saxonia must sell a set of net assets.

After the fusion Sulo is the second largest German and fifth-largest European disposal enterprise. The enterprise reaches a conversion of approx. 1.2 billion euro and employs more than 8,000 coworkers. Enterprise seat becomes Hamburg. In Herford however further a majority of the management will remain.
