The Surinam cherry (Eugenia uniflora), also Pitanga or Kirschmyrte, is a plant type from the kind of the Kirschmyrten (Eugenia) in that the (Myrtaceae).

The Surinam cherry originates originally from Brazil, today however in far parts of the Tropics and/or Subtropen is cultivated.

Description
