The tax counsel chamber is similar a professional association for tax counsels, to the bar association for lawyers. In that Germany gives it to 21 tax counsel chambers, which form together the federal tax advisor chamber. The chambers are bodies of the public right.

All tax counsels, tax representative and tax consulting companies are obligation member of a tax counsel chamber.

Legal basis for the establishment, the organization and activity of the tax counsel chambers are "§"§ the 73 FF of the tax consulting law.
