A goal of this technology is to be determined it the relative Vorteilhaftigkeit from alternatives to. A situation, in which TOPSIS can be e.g. used, is the purchase of a car.

General description of TOPSIS

TOPSIS became from C. - L. Hwang and K. Yoon develops. The Vorteilhaftigkeit of an alternative is evaluated, as the distance to the best alternative and the distance are intended in each case for the worst alternative. With these distances for each alternative a value is computed, which gives information over the Vorteilhaftigkeit of this alternative.
