A technology park or a Technopark is a place, at which a common infrastructure is put to selected young enterprises from the technology sector at the disposal.
The core of such a technology park is usually a technology center. That is a building complex, in which many recent enterprises co-operate. They all e.g. belong to future-oriented industries, like microelectronics, computer science, the communications technology or the computer technology. These complement each other well. Also the enterprises receive often commercial or financial support, which the risks make smaller with the starting phase of an enterprise.
