Thomas flat the young (* 24. July 1574 in Basel, "† 4. December 1628 ebd.) be Botaniker and physician and a graphic writer.

The son Thomas Platters of the older one from second marriage received his training in Montpellier and became 1614 professor for anatomy and Botanik, 1624 for medicine at the University of Basel, whose Dekan and rector were repeated it. It worked at the same time also as a city physician. His son Felix Platter (1605-1671) was a professor for logic and physics and wrote different astronomical writings.

In its culture-historically meaning description of its England travel in the year 1599 it supplied a highly detailed description of the Londoner of theatre life.
