Ton kilometer (tkm) is a measure for the transport achievement of goods and persons, the transportation in such a way specified. It is measured at the product of the transported mass in tons (t) and the distance in kilometers (km), put back thereby. With respect to the traffic the offered transport achievement (TKO, clay/tone of kilometer off-talk) differentiates and the actually furnished transport achievement (TKT, clay/tone of kilometer transported). Passengers are considered with the determination of the additional load by a statistically determined average weight.
