User model in the software development acceptance and data concerning the users of the software are called.

In order to become optimally fair the individual user, an explicit user model must be put on and stored for everyone. The software uses then this model, in order to steer the interaction with the user. These systems are however still in the research stage and not yet generally available.

One tries to reach a first approximation to the user desires by the fact that one divides the users due to its experiences in three groups:

• Beginners do not have experience with the computer system concerned
• Opportunity users are regular users of the computer system, but possibly in changing time intervals
• Experts have experiences of several years with different computer systems
