The label

Beside the main label Versace gives it the Unterlabel Versus. At the beginning of the 1990er-Jahre followed further Unterlabel and/or Lizenzvergaben, which is responsible for bags, shoes, decoration, table-ware (in co-operation with the Rosenthal AG), furniture, Wohnaccessoires and perfumes.

Gianni Versace

Gianni Versace (* 2. December 1946 in Reggio Calabria, Italy, "† 15. July 1997 in Miami, Florida, USA)

After Gianni Versace had put its Abitur down, he completed 1964 cutter training with its nut/mother. After the successful conclusion of this training it was active in the exempt private company as material buyers.

Versace developed numerous business relations in the course of the years to considerable manufacturers and supplied also different companies and building furnishing firms with materials from the foreign country. In the year 1968 he decided to work as free mode designers for some the large Italian mode manufacturers.

1972 were employed Versace as a designer in the mode house Genny, Complice & Callaghan. Only six years later it made itself independent. Already 1979 it had its first   Porter show. In the same year the first "“Versace fashion shop"” opened in Milan.

In the 80's Versace celebrated its international break-through as a mode designer. As special characteristic numerous creations exhibited the face of the "“Medusa"”. This face became later the component of the Firmenlogos. Versace did not only create mode, separates equipped also theatre and opera performances with costumes. Among other things its creations were in the May countries Scala, San Francisco Opera or with the New York town center clench to see.

Large acknowledgment found the mode designer 1985, when work from its collection in Albert Museum in London was issued. In the year 1989 it created its secondary line "“Versus"”. She was arranged considerably by its sister Donatella.

Gianni Versace was shot on 15 July 1997 on the stairs before its mansion in Miami.

To Gianni Versaces customers and friends belonged at the same time among other things to Michael Jackson, Sting, Naomi Campbell, Elton John, princess Diana and Madonna.

Donatella Versace

Donatella Versace (* 2. May 1955 in Reggio Calabria, Italy). Center of the 70's-years studied it Italian literature. On its free weekends it often visited its brother in its studio. After the conclusion of its study she inhabited a dwelling in Milan together with their brother. Originally she wanted to take over the PR-work for Gianni, but Gianni estimated Donatella more than MUSE and Kritikerin. In the Achtzigern Gianni dedicates to her the Parfum "„blond ones "“and created for it the label "„to Versus "“.

After its brother had been murdered, Donatella took over the guidance of the mode house of the family Versace. At the astonishment of many it succeeded to it, only three months after death Giannis a   porter collection on the legs placed. The critics estimated themselves formally with praise. Thus '' the VOGUE called '' the collection "„more than unbelievably "“. Their solo debut followed with the demonstration of the collection of the main line for the spring 1998. In July 1998 she organized her first struck Couture Modenschau. Donatella is married with the former Model Paul Beck and has with it together a son, Daniel, and a daughter, Allegra. Allegra Versace will resume the label Versace after Donatella

Santo Versace

Santo Versace (* January 1945 in Reggio Calabria, Italy) is the brother of Donatella and Gianni Versace. He is today a president of Gianni Versace, S.p.A. with seat in Milano.

Allegra Versace

Allegra Versace (* 30 June 1986) is the daughter of Donatella Versace. She is the heiress of the portions of the exempt private company Gianni Versace.

Advertisement

The advertisement of the house Versace was always a smoldering gene in colors and luxury. After Madonna was active as Model in the year 1995 already once for Versace, this co-operation was renewed in the year 2005. It makes advertisement for the spring and summer collection. The row turns around the topic "“woman in the office"”. Madonna was made a blueprint for the motives by the star photographer Mario Testino. Also Jon Bon Jovi modelte over years for Versace.

With the subsequent campaign Versace the actress Demi of moorlands could obligate. For the spring/summer collection 2006 Halle Berry could be engaged.
