Viktor Kafka, also Victor Kafka (*12. October 1881 in Karl bath; "† 5. May 1955 in Stockholm) was a Austrian neuro psychologist and bacteriologist.

Life

After its medicine study in Prague and Vienna and the 1906 graduation received Kafka took place 1907 a Asisstentenstelle at the psychiatric hospital of the German medical faculty of the University of Prague. it described 1911 in the Viennese clinical weekly revue (number 24, fol. 335) common with the bacteriologist Edmund because, an unknown bakteriologische reaction, which received the designation because Kafka reaction and/or Still in the same year it changed to the hospital Hamburg Friedrichsberg. There Kafka became starting from 1917 member in the executive committee of the Serologi department of the Bakteriologisch Serologi institute. 1920 took place its appointment to the director of department.

it received an extraordinary Professur at the University of Hamburg and 1927 to 1924 took place its appointment as the leading upper physician of the Serologi department. In the time of the national socialism Kafka was removed because of its Jewish ancestors from the service. it finally went to 1939 into the exile to Norway and 1942 to Sweden, where it lived up to its death.
