The walter Masing price, designated by the German society for quality registered association (DGQ) after its honorary chairman, is the only assigned price in the German quality management. With this assigned promotion price quality the DGQ young humans wants to motivate every two years to develop new ideas and realizations in the area of the quality management. The advertisement addresses itself to personal DGQ members, that are at the most 40 years old. The same conditions apply to joint venture works of several persons. Closer details come out from the guideline for the award of the promotion price quality, which can be requested in the DGQ office. Prospective customers, who want to take part in the advertisement, are asked, to submit their work until at the latest to 30 April of the respective yearly. The honor is endowed with 5000 euro.

The detailed work is to concern itself intensively with a topic from theory or practice, which benefits then the public. Elaboration must be written in German language and written form. They must assign to the total range of the quality and/or the quality management and be the result of an independently accomplished work. In addition can belong:

• Recapitulatory representations of complex topics, which do not lay necessarily claim on scientific realizations,
• Descriptions of solution procedures or auxiliary facilities, which can be used in practice,
• Representations of scientific research and development activities.

To the evaluation of the submitted work the following criteria apply:

• Originality,
• Meaning of the work for the total area quality management in practice or research and teachings,
• Analytic dressing of the topic,
• Representation method and form of the work.
