The XML Process definition LANGUAGE (XPDL) is within the Workflow management a XML based language for the description of business processes, details operational sequences (workflow). The XPDL is advanced and standardized since 1993 by the Workflow management Coalition (WfMC). Since May 2005 the available version 2.0 plans a complete support of the graphic Businesses Process Modeling notation (BPMN). XPDL implements the interface 1 in the Workflow Reference Model of the WfMC.
