Youth officers are as advisers for security politics a component of the information and public work of the German Federal Armed Forces. They treat aspects of the social, environmental and development policy in the context of the extended safety term also. They have final university studies and an experience of several years as military superiors. The occupation of the soldier and the constant exchange desired with political decision makers are to make a differentiated view of the complex safetypolitical situation for them possible. The function of the youth officer gives it in the German Federal Armed Forces since 1958. At present it gives country widely 94 full-time youth officers in the rank to captain/captain second lieutenant, who are responsible for a regional care range in each case. Training
